Reminiscing..........

With this event I'm throwing on the 18th I started to think about some things that has happened over the years etc. One of the most memorable was when I first got in the daily grind of branding myself I created a mixtape back in 2000 (yes I jive kicked the mixtape game off in the DMV)..........ask around but I did my first mixtape called " Our Time" and I had 50 Cent, Too Short and a rack of DMV artist that were hot at the time on it.

So I was riding around in the streets selling joints and dropping joints off and stores like Hobo, madness etc........ and I seen Dj Flexx chilling outside a rim shop on Saint Barnabas Road.

So like any artist or producer or whatever I approached him respectfully with cd in hand ready to give him one for free and dude put his hand in my face and turned his back on me and just walked away. ..........

The dude that was with him had a little more decency and said "i'll check it out lil homie". I never tripped off Flexx like that because as I got older I realized he is nothing more than just a radio personality that takes orders and a false sense stardom can really have you thinking your something when your not.

So I make it a clear and honest attempt to rap to everyone when they come up to me to rap about music or whatever. I remember that feeling! hahahahha

I've some similiar experiences, homie. If anything, should make you want to get on your grind harder and show people what you got. When they underestimate, its the best people let their guard down and you surprise them. You're doing good things. Keep it up.

I believe that ALL radio personalities are BAMMAS until proven Washingtonian. Tigger=New York. Quicksilva=Baltimore. Angie Ange=COLD BAMMA. Shall I go on?

The only dude that has ever gave me the cold shoulder was the Cuban Cigar Smoker guy. Everyone else has always seemed pretty cool.
