The newly-minted 23-year-old makes sure to show love to West Africa; he shouts out everything from Kente loafers & jollof rice, to stylish, Ankara print-clad ladies.

@MsProper - - #EscapingReality [ALBUM]
Imagine a life with no pain, no struggle, and no stress. Seems surreal
right? In a time where it seems we are surrounded by negativity, when we
can't face reality we escape it. Richmond, VA artist Ms Proper shares
her journey with us on her newly released album, Escaping Reality,
featuring artists such as Versace Chachi, Supa Soop, Ty Tha God, and
Erikka J. While many of today's Hip Hop albums focus on the facades that
rappers love to create, Ms Proper take us deeper into her progression
as an artist and person exposing her vulnerability with records like
"Failure" and "Trapped Inside My Mind". She challenges authority and
becomes a voice for the lives lost due to police brutality on "Questions
That Need Answers" and brings the party to the pain with "Told Mama"
and "Double Up". While touching on topics ranging from heartbreak to
arrests, Escaping Reality is more than just an album, it's a musical
journey that listeners from all walks of life can relate to.
