@NodisMyMusic - Don't Sell it (Official Music Video)

Hip Hop continues its global quest to inspire the world, Sidon "Nodis"
Faris stands poised to inject his new brand of life blood into the heart
of the game. This innovative 18 year old Hip Hop artist based out of
the D.C. Metro, area embodies the vitality of his youth along with the
universal spirit of his generation.
Nodis,
derived the inspiration for his music while skateboarding the streets
of Washington, DC and suburbs of Northern Virginia with his friends. At

winning producer Blac Elvis. Keep your third eye open for Nodis.
@TheeRealKJ - Her Flowers
On October
23, 1984, Hip Hop would again gain an inspirational artist. The birth of
Keon Johnson, simply known as K.J., would have an impact on lyricism as
we know it. Born to Tawana McCoy and Bonnie Johnson in East Baltimore,
K.J. would soon become one of Baltimore's prolific artist. K.J developed
a vital skill at an early age which was transforming feelings and
thoughts into words. In 1996, K.J. would begin to indulge in lyricism
and through his personal situations and day to day life, K.J. is able to
amass ideas that are relatable to the everyday listener and provides a
voice for those same individuals. He would grow inspiration from TuPac,
Common, Nasty Nassir Jones, Black Thought of the Roots, Talib Kweli.
Snoop Dogg Method Man and Andre 3000 and emulate specific features from
them all and turn them into a witty, creative and unique form of Hip
Hop. Through music, K.J. believes that remedies are developed and that
all problems are solved. Thus, the idea of not "wanting the title of
having the best line," but instead providing a channel for people like
me and you to understand that we are not alone. However, on June 21,
2013, everything would change for K.J. prompting the release of his
second mix tape titled " Just Thoughts 2: Life After Her"

The 1978ers @Slimthe78er @yUthe78er - "One Nine 7-T-8"
Music
is an exchange of ideas. The 1978ers' (yU & Slimkat) album is
something for those exhausted with the shuck and jive of pop culture,
who believe in the purification rituals offered by hard snares, funky
drum kicks, soul-coughing bass, and deeply rooted vibrations.
Today, The 1978ers release their first single, One-Nine-7-T-8 (free download), from the upcoming album, People of Today.
The track is a manifesto of sorts, reminding us that the story of the
music is told through rhythm and energy forged in the cultural soul of
their birth year and developed ever since. Blake Gillespie, who
interviewed the pair of musicians and debuted the song with IMPOSE this
afternoon, writes "Slimkat produces like he’s the direct
descendent of The Ummah bloodline, while yU’s a foreign native with a
message of brotherhood in the DMV.”
Team DAR - Genesis Album @TeamDAR @TrueGodImmortal @SpeedontheBeat @ShokusApollo @DirtyLungsAXEL
Team DAR is a
DMV-based group consisting of True God, Speed on the Beat, Shokus
Apollo, and JEFF AXEL (a/k/a Black Axel). Forged through a love of
hip-hop, promoting change, and debaucherous situations, the slightly
off-kilter group of artists defines a revolution, even through seemingly
"ratchet" songs. The group delivers their own brand of sophisticated
ignorance (thank you Kanye), most recently through tracks on Speed on
the Beat's Death of the King album.
And although they tend to not write their curses in cursive, the group
does bring something sorely missing in music: the ability to be fun and
funny without forgetting that music is a tool to create change.
Diamond District (yU, Oddisee, Uptown XO) - "Lost Cause" @MelloMusicGroup
Today the nation's largest weekly newspaper, The Village Voice, premiered Diamond District's second single Lost Cause from the groups upcoming album March On Washington. The track is produced by rising star Oddisee
and features the trio (yU, Oddisee, Uptown XO) rhyming some of their
most impassioned bars to date. The three emcees bring wildly different
styles to the track and offer listeners something very fresh. Like
brothers who've gone down different paths, yU, Oddisee, and Uptown XO
all started in DC and have grown into their own unique solo careers.
Diamond District brings them together again as a testament to both their
perfect chemistry, and their uniquness as individual elements in the
musical world.
Cosmopolitan troubadour ODDISEE offers a worldly take on where he sits in modern society versus where he would have sat a century ago. Street scientist UPTOWN XO lays fire to a personal tale of struggle and survival. And finally the humble king yU puts down one of the most righteous verses ever laid. Enjoy.

@DoReMeMovement : Carey Fountain- "So Real" (Prod. Carey Fountain)
Bio: DoReMe
is a collective of creative outcasts from around the world that all
happened to meet in the unlikely city of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Over the
course of their experimental collaboration, the team grew very close
becoming much more like family. With members from Wetumpka, Alabama;
Israel; Woodbridge, Virginia; Germany and Florida; this group of
multi-talented Rappers/Producers/Singer-songw riters
all come together to create music that aims to provoke emotion and
inspire one to explore their own beliefs and attain a clear vision of
what one truthfully desires. DoReMe does not believe in boundaries in
music and refuse to conform to any standards placed upon the music they
choose to create, staying true to their team mantra "Fuck Them, Do You."
By helping aid people in realizing the beauty and power each person
has within themselves, DoReMe believes they can help to inspire people
to be better than the person they were yesterday through eliminating the
illusion of freedom our society jades us with. As the team begins to
emerge in the hip-hop game, they aim to stay true to themselves placing
more importance on the reasoning behind why they create music instead of
getting consumed by the material aspects of the industry so many
artists fall victim to.
