Observation......................

This is from the homie Suni Da Connect (Oy Boyz). I was going to analysis "HATE" but he beat me to it.

Hate is Love

Over the last 2 years I’ve found myself using every adjective in the English language to express my dislike of WALE and TABI BONNEY..I understood the awesome marketing plan that studio 43 put into place (FOR WALE)

Even though I hated it, I’m a lover of go-go and I felt that studio 43 was pimping the fucking system but who the fuck was I. As for TABI I hated the way he used our slang incorrectly (lol lmao @ myself 4 that statement). I was like you don’t use the word Pocket like that, Pocket is a music term Ect. Ect. Ect..

But after watching these two dudes grow into who they are today, I noticed something that I was missed from the door, these two brothers hustle, they are out at all events, they aren’t too cool to say hello ( from what I’ve seen ) and they understand how to brand themselves. The biggest thing of all they are willing to leave dc.

They are willing to get on a damn plane and leave this hell of a music town, to create an opportunity for themselves.

In closing I would like to tell all dc artists to wake the fuck up and watch these two brothers’ movements, because selling CD’s to your hommies and performing at the legend isn’t going to get you any closer to your end goal.

Shout out to TABI for putting the “beat your feet kings” on MTV with you….IT MAKE ME THINK OF THE originator of the dance lil SLUSH Barry Farms gone miss you..

SHOUTS OUT TO YOU JUDAH FOR POSTING MY LIL THOUGHT / OBSERVATION OF OUR SCENE, I GOAL IS NOT TO DOWNPLAY ANYTHING YOUR DOING AS ARTIST. MY GOAL IS JUST TO GIVE YA’LL A LIL BIT OF GAME ON HOW TO GET YOUR PRODUCT OUT THERE TO THE MASSES. THE INTERNET IS AWESOME PLACE TO GET YOUR PRODUCT OUT THERE BUT IT IS NOT TANGIBLE~ADJECTIVE : 1.THAT CAN BE TOUCHED OR FELT BY TOUCH; HAVING ACTUAL FORM AND SUBSTANCE 2. CORPOREAL AND ABLE TO BE APPRAISED FOR VALUE TANGIBLE ASSETS 3. THAT CAN BE UNDERSTOOD; DEFINITE; OBJECTIVE NOUN: 1.PROPERTY THAT CAN BE APPRAISED FOR VALUE; ASSETS HAVING REAL SUBSTANCE; MATERIAL THINGS
WHICH MEANS THEY DON’T GET THE CHANCE TO KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE AS PEOPLE. I’VE BEEN IN SALES MY ENTIRE CAREER, LEGALLY~ I’M COLLEGE EDUCATION WITH TWO DEGREE’S ILLEGALLY~ I’VE LIVED THE SAME LIFE AS MANY OF YOU GUYS AND WHAT I’VE LEARNED IS THAT THE BEST SALESMEN ARE GREAT PEOPLE PERSON’S.. THE PEOPLE BUY THEM, NOT THE PRODUCT BE IT A GOOD PRODUCT OR A BAD PRODUCT.
BE LIKE WATER MY PEOPLE, DON’T BE CONFINED BY YOUR SURROUNDINGS….
YOU GOTTA GET UP GET OUT AND GET SOMETHING, DON’T LET THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE PASS BY.. YOU GOTTA GET UP GET OUT AND GET SOMETHING YOU CAN’T SPEND ALL YOUR TIME TRYING TO GET HIGH……GOODIE MOB…..

Although I would tent to agree that Tabi and Wale have brought some light to the DMV movement I have also had a problem excepting them as our representitives. This is the mentality that permiates the DMV. When DC Scorpio was all over the radio in the late 80's early 90's the hood was behind Fat Rodney and Dink. While people tried to act like Scorp and Vinnie D wasnt from the hood(both of them ARE from the hood SE). I just hope for the DMV sake someone that the hood IS behind can get a chance because these youngins aint at The Legend or anyother open mike. So if they dont see you in the hood YOU ARE NOT RELEVANT TO THEM!!!

Hip Hop is changing gentlemen. Adapt or be left behind. What happened yesterday is for the most part not relevant today.

tabi was in the open mic this week he rapped so he relevant he just not hood both tabi and wale rep dc but they not a acurate representer of how the people in living dc really are plus they just overated hype and no flow

TABI BONNEY IS A REAL DUDE...AND I PERSONALLY HAVE PREFORMED WITH HIM AT 3 OPEN MIC/LOCAL SHOWCASES:

THE ISLAND
THE LEGEND
CLUB 12

WALE...HE HAS NOT BEEN TO ANY OPEN MICS AS FAR AS I KNOW BUT WHO CARES?

TABI IS ON SOME DIFFERENT SHIT, AND ALTHOUGH HE DOESNT REPRESENT THE DC STYLE OF LIVING...HIS ALBUM CRANKS, HIS IMAGE IS FRESH AND HE IS ORIGINAL

WALE IS NOT FROM DC AND HIS FLOW IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST BUT I STILL WILL SUPPORT ANYTHING HE DOES BECAUSE I AM HAPPY FOR ANYBODIES SUCCESS WHEN I SEE THAT THEIR GRIND AND HUSTLE IS STRONG

I think they both got good content.

This is the DMV movement...Tabi and Wale(even though I'm not sold on them as artist) they represent us all...from the people in Southeast to the youngins in Mo county...so they are relevant to whoever likes their music. No artist can represent the DMV and be relevant to us all...its impossible! I give them big ups for doing their thing...as well as others that help them get to where they are today!!!

Everybody aint from the HOOD in the DMV......Plus people make it seem that you have to be from the HOOD in order to validate being a Rap Artist.....But if you rappin about gangsta thugs shyt make sure you have lived and not just b/c you think that is going to sell.....And just cuz your grow up in the HOOD doesnt make you gangsta either....everybody is not a product of there enviroment and use the circumstances for motivation and drive.

Everybody the same, yet different in the DMV.

Do people expect every artist from the DMV to sound the same and rap about the samethings.... There is no diversity in that.

HOW DO YOU EXPECT DMV ARTIST TO REP THE AREA?.....

By acting ignorant on some gansta shyt or intelligent on some artistry shyt to show your skills.....Plus the HOOD aint what it use to be.

That gansta shyt yung is so yesterday people....Just do what you do....put your best foot forward....and put out your best possible work.

Trying to put "V" in the DMV....I luv the area.

I know niggas is still fucked and its always gonna be G's, they were here before me and will be here after im gone......But damn niggas be acting like if you aint hood you aint repping the area right.....And you know its niggas out there that just rap that shyt cuz they think its going to sell and i know a few and i foresure you do too....

And what i meant by "that gansta shyt is so yesterday" is for those pretender wanna be niggas who rap that shyt cuz that's what everyone else is doing.

Everybody has their own approach. Me personally I lived the life most niggas my age in the hood have lived and I live in Waldorf ... I ain't from this muhfucka and ain't been out here for a significant part of my life. I stay in DC... Im from Bronx, NY. So I know the streets well yet I don't talk about hustlin in my music often. Niggas cop ounces and say they flip pounds ... Flip 8balls and claim they touchin bricks. If you ain't doin what you say you doin, somebody somewhere knows and its a matter of time till they put you on blast.

As Long as There is Poverty You Will Have STREET/GANGSTER Rap...You Can Cut that shit out...But At the same time ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO RAP NOWADAYS IS NOT FROM HOOD...You got alot of Niggas who is from hood But Thru Music Try to Act Like somethin' they not...Its Enough Money and Fans for everybody...Wale and Tabi Arent really My Choice of Music...But them niggas DO THEM...and They GRIND...And i got Family That Felt a Way Becuz Wale was Using Go-Go...OK?...Its Bout Time...I Rather have someone from Area Using it RIGHT...Than To Have Muthafuckas Steal It and Our Area dont get no credit for it...Which has been HAPPEN FOR YEARS..And No Matter How Anyone Feel about them....They Bringing LIGHT TO THE DMV PERIOD....If You feel You better than them...Well The Star's Are Aligned Now...NIGGA PROVE IT...
