The Board Statement on Fat Trel
Dear Media Colleague,
Please find The Board Administration's official company statement regrading Artist, Fat Trel below:
The Board Administration produced Fat Trel's critically acclaimed "No Secrets" Mixtape and leveraged company resources to successfully introduce and market the project to a wider demographic audience in the District of Columbia and beyond.
As a business with a strong marketing foundation, it was our intention to catapult Fat Trel into the fabric of DC's hip-hop community and strategically position him as DC's next-big-thing with solid track production and features, artist collaboration, viral videos, and social media buzz generation. Having experienced large domestic and international success with our production of Wale's "More About Nothing" we possessed the experience, relationships, and synergy necessary to take Fat Trel to the next level and professionalize his aesthetic from mixtape concept, artwork, features, production, and beyond. While we did not collaborate with Fat Trel on his current mixtape project, we wish him well in all professional endeavors and hope his new effort is a noteworthy follow-up to "No Secrets".
The Board Administration's Official Artist Roster includes: Black Cobain, Mz. Sasha, The Slutty Boyz, Tiara Thomas, and Fatz Da Big Fella, all of whom will release highly-anticipated mixtapes in the coming months ahead.

Lano Releases debut single "One Word"
DMV artist Lano has finally released his much anticipated single "One Word" off of his sophomore project entitled Bond Series Take One.Since 2009 Lano has dropped two mix tapes, been featured in Urban Ink Magazine, on front page of DaPiff.com, opened for the headliners such as Travis Porter and Big Sean, recorded with Flo-Rida, and laid a tattoo on Baltimore Raven scott burgess. While other local artist are trying to own their market, this kidd has taken his grind a little further; stretching the promo all the way to the west coast, Los Angeles. In less than two years, under the management of NRG Theory, Lano has created a huge buzz in the DMV and beyond. For those of you unfamiliar with Lano, feel free to familiarize yourselves by checking out his blog Yeahlano.com and following him on twitter at @Yeahlano . He has amassed a large amount of followers in a small amount of time and his following continues to grow by the hour. His fans have been BEGGING for this song to drop, and he is equally excited to be able to finally unveil it. this is what he has to say about it:
"I been waitin for like 2-3 months to drop this. Its the first track I did when I hooked back up wit my homie King Midas. Its crazy cuz it came together in less than 3 hours, I was done the writing before he had even finished the beat.lol, but it worked and we’re proud of if and now im presenting it to you. Regardless of if it was earlier or later than expected, its still good music and I couldn’t hold it back any longer. And on an even better note, the video treatment is already done, which means the official video should be here in the coming weeks, somewhere closer to the release of “Bond Series Take One”. The treatment itself is crazy, reminiscent of a favorite movie of mine, very “James Bond-ish”, real clean, real G. Be on the lookout for it all, but in the meantime, enjoy classic music. Feel free to leave posts about how it makes you feel, its greatly appreciated fam."

iVote Maryland Empowers Young Adults To Vote
Baltimore, Maryland- In the fall of 2010, Senator Larry Young of the popular 1010 WOLB, ? The Larry Young Morning Show? and Konan, Radio personality of WERQ-92.3 gathered together other radio colleagues, media partners and musical talent to plan to execute a Rock the Vote-style festival; a one night only music concert featuring regional musical talent. The event was attended by and received support from Congressman Elijah Cummings, Senator Catherine Pugh, and 12th District Baltimore City Councilman Carl Stokes. Following the event and several weeks of meeting later, iVote Maryland was conceived to accomplish the mission of motivating young adults to get out and vote. iVote Maryland is a non-partisan movement created to educate and empower young adults to exercise their right to vote; through the vehicles of activism, technology, and entertainment.
The official iVote Maryland kick-off Concert and After Party will take place Tuesday March 29, 2011 at Bourbon Street (316 Guilford Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21202) from 7pm-2am. The event will feature live performances by Hip Hop and urban artists, an after party, on-site voter registration, step show, and special guest appearances by Radio One DJs, elected officials and surprise celebrity guests. Advance tickets for $11 are available at Radio One office, 1705 Whitehead Rd, Gwynn Oak, MD 21207.
With voting numbers for constituents in the age group of 18-29 being at a all time low in the 2010 Gubernatorial mid-term elections iVote Maryland was created to let young people know that there vote does matter and the issues that are significant to the 18-29 year old constituents such as violence, education and jobs can be changed through the power of voting. iVote Maryland strives to bridge the gap between disenfranchised young adults and public officials. iVote Maryland will be the vehicle for the voices of young Maryland residents to make sure those concerns are heard by campaigning and elected officials via town hall, community forums and other events.
