FTDMVO Music Review...Dugee F ( The Bong Experience)

Dugee hit me with his latest disk to review and here you go....

Dope Records:
Eye
Alright
Comcast

Wack Records:
If You

This mixtape is a pretty solid joint. Dugee voice is fresh and clearly depicts the voice of todays DMV youth. He also sounded like he was having a gang of fun making these songs and thats what its about. His sound also takes me back to the 90's era reminiscent of The Pharcyde etc...

His creativity is on a 8 especially with joints like "Comcast". I also like that fact that he dug into some OG hip hop beats like "Compton" by NWA etc....

The DJ had some dope mixing hence calling it a mixtape (Artist please take note) but one that that wasn't up to par was the recording quality. Clearly he got busy in someone's living room or basement. Next time go a little more professional route. Its worth the investment.

The one record I wasn't feeling was the "If You" record. Its a straight Go Go record and I know we in the DMV but the Go Go/Hip records are jive a done deal in my personal opinion. But I guess you gotta give the DMV one at least......at least!

He gave the people 23 records to listen to and in my personal opinion and experience thats a little too many records for todays internet listners.

Overall I give the homie  8 "DMVs" for this project.

Keep doing what you doing!

Yessir. Yea Im def going look into other recording ways other than the Mac to get that top quality sound.

DJ's need to get back to the tru essence of a mixtape that means less screaming and self plugging on the mixtape and more mixing and blending.
