The DMV takeover continues! This time around, we are delivering some tunes from a Newport News, Virginia MC by the name of Awon. You might remember Awon from his underrated 2008 LP, Beautiful Loser; a buttery smooth record full of throwback jazzy production and conscious lyrics that all true school hip hoppers would love. No worries if you missed it, I added some tracks from the album below.
Awon is back on his grind in 2010, preparing an upcoming EP with San Diego bred producer, Kameleon, entitled the Love Supersedes Project. This EP will be made available as a FREE DOWNLOAD on February 26th and will serve as a short teaser before the full length record drops on iTunes near the end of March.
