THE DMV IN NYC.......HEAVY!

SO FIRST & FOREMOST I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE PAXTONS FOR HAVING A DOPE EVENT AND SHOWING LOVE TO STRANGE MUSIC, MYSELF AND RAtheMC. THE SHOW WAS CRAZY AND THEY REPPED THE DMV SERIOUSLY.

AFTER WE LEFT THERE WE SLID OVER TO 88 KEYS ALBUM RELEASE PARTY AND IT WAS PRETTY WILD... AS I ASSUMED. THE NIGHT WAS COOL UNTIL I MET SOMEONE THAT INSPIRED ME TO GET INTO MUSIC.

I MET MR. ANDRE HARRELL!
 (GOOGLE HIM TO LEARN YOURSELF)

I USED TO WATCH THIS GUY VIDEO ON THE VIDEO JUKEBOX RELIGIOUSLY.

THAT DUDE CAME UP TO RA AND SAID "I LIKE YOUR OUTFIT" SO YOU KNOW WE HAD TO MAKE THE CONNECT.

HISTORY MAN! HISTORY!

THE LUCKY FEW THAT GOT IN!
88 KEYS GOING THRU JOINTS OFF THE ALBUM
ME & MR. HARRELL

congrats on meeting andre harrell. sadly, the brother who put andre on in the game, jheryl busby (formerly of motown and mca) just passed away.

on a lighter note and speaking of the DMV making industry moves, I've been asking folk to help my newfound young DMV homie Ahkil advance in the contest to remix The Roots' song "Criminal" feat. Saigon and Truck North. Peep his contribution:

i think that joint sounds crazy! click (or copy/paste) the link above to check it and
if you feel it like i do, give the young scrapper Ahkil some
votes...he was 28 among all the entrants last i checked and needs to
crack the top 25 to proceed to the next level, so your vote would
really help! so would spreading that link on blogs, with your folk,
etc..

dmv love,

just as a point of reference to my post above (assuming it gets approved...lol), ahkil was one of the kids at the gw radio show that brought together a lot of DMV emcees and execs on election night to speak on Obama and freestyle/drop bars. he's a good dude, jive humble and all that.

Yeah, the NYC show was crazy...me and Pro'Verb started it off right, RA shut it down next, and The Paxtons closed out the performances in a sick fashion. Shoutsout to Clockwise Clothing and Alize' for keepin the people fresh and drunk lol. Anything I did that night, it wasn't me...it was the Alize'. I PROMISE! lol
