Every six month, we invites family out to celebrate the release of the latest issue of the WBL Global Journal of Hip-Hop Culture. The latest issue, "Bootleg this Journal", is filled with information about the history and relevance of mixtapes, bootlegging and independent films.
In addition to the release of the journal, WBL will host a three-day hip hop and media event called "The Bootleg Festival: Mixtapes, Film and Hip-Hop's Underground Economy" from November 13-15, 2008 starting at 5 p.m. on the 13th at St. Stephen's Church at 1525 Newton St., Washington, DC 20010.
