Get Well ......KINGPIN SLIM Day 4 (After the Shooting)

Day 4 Tuesday election day!!!
Today I was introduced to the greastest creation ever made (besides my daughter) percasets! Whew let me tell you pop two of them thangs, and take away the pain! I might use that for a hook so don't steal my steelo (even though mobb deep ji like had a joint like that on the infamous cd) LOL! My mom spend the night and when she woke up it was CNN heavy LOL, but after them percasets kicked in that was all she wrote. This day would be a day of sleep and when I was awake I felt no pain. My legs are the strongest they've been since I arrived so instead of the walker my personal trainer wants me to try crutches (which I failed at miserably yesterday). What a difference a day makes as I can get out of bed by myself, (after a super struggle) and my little two step on the crutches is crooked but effective LOL. After coming back from practicing using the steps my pain comes back and I'm calling the nurse for some more of them peekachoos (nickname for percasets, I have a nickname for everything it's uptown tradition). I pop two and wake up hours later around the time when the polls close. My close friend from high school comes through to show her support as does my homeboy, with vibe magazine, robb report and espn magazine with him, my nigga! We all watching Obama stack up these electoral at a damn near 3 to 1 rate over McCain with pride, it's a beautiful occasion to say the least. They show Jesse Jackson crying which brings me back to my childhood when he bout a house one street over from our spot in LeDroit Park. I hope nobody gets the impression that I'm trying to glorify being shot up or anything street related. I've taken more losses then wins playing on the other side of the law and I've missed out on my daughters birth, a record deal and a chance to vote due to incarciration and now being hospitalized. Lost countless friends and although I have no regrets I have no recommendations to the next generation to follow in the footsteps of negativity! My advice would be to do the right thing whatever that is to your situation and keep the faith. Faith is what's gonna get me through learning to walk again and fulfill the destiny god has for me. Here I go with the heavy eyes, shout out to all those texts and calls from the DMV, it's fueling my survival. My win is your celebration......
