R&B Live DC

Washington, DC (Dec. 8, 2008)- The Holiday edition of R&B Live DC is going to be a power packed performance on Tuesday, December 16th. Chuck Brown, a Washington, DC legend and icon will be at Posh Restaurant & Supper Lounge. Mr. Brown is said to be the founder and creator of the Go-Go sound and has been a major force in the music industry since the early 70's. He has had numerous hits such as "Bustin Loose", "We Need Some Money" and "Go-Go Swing" just to name a few. Before the year is up the DC City Council will be voting on whether to rename a street in Washington, DC "Chuck Brown Way". He is currently in the studio working on his new album with Grammy nominated producer Chucky Thompson, which is set to be released mid 2009.

R&B Live DC is pleased to announce that Marjorie Harris will host this month's event as the all female house band Be'La Dona will accent the venue with their sounds as DJ Huck Fin spins. The opening act will be Washington, DC's own Miriamm Wright. She has opened for Jill Scott, shared the stage with Aretha Franklin and Will Downing and just recently appeared in the Sony Music Film "Cadillac Records" (in theatres now) portraying the background singer of Etta James (Beyonce Knowles). Her sophomore cd is titled "Road to Peace".
