Event: Coors Light Soundtrack reFRESH
Date: Friday October 16, 2015
Location: Baltimore Sound Stage
ForTheDMVOnly took to the road to cover the Coors Light Soundtrack reFRESH in Baltimore Maryland. We didn’t quite know what to expect besides that the prolific hitmaker DJ Mustard was spinning some of his many hits that took over much of the airwaves in 2015 and that New York lyrical young OG Fabolous would be performing songs from his lengthy catalog. Pulling up to the event on the surprisingly warm Friday night you could see the line of hipsters, hip hop heads and corporate execs wrapped around the Baltimore block waiting for entry.
Upon entering the event, it was evident that Coors Light created its own urban hip hop world inside. From an array of Light-beams shooting across the venue to mobile real time photo stations set up around the venue. The Coors light reFRESH team even introduced event goers to a new technology I dubbed “Digital Spraypaint” station.
After about an hour of the house DJ playing jams, out came the host for the night, Baltimore native and Radio DJ, DJ Quicksilva. It didn’t stop there, Dj Quicksilva brought out his co-host Lil Mo. Their energy and cohesiveness was nothing new as they co-host Baltimore radio together. They kept the crowd upbeat and engaged as they awaited DJ Mustard’s set.

Dj Mustard hit the stage and got right into spinning his hit records. Mustard also blended in some of the most iconic hip hop records into his set to keep the crowds energy fresh and interested.

After
a brief break following Mustard’s set, the man of the hour Fabolous hit
the stage with his most recent street banger “Lituation”. Fab’s energy
and movement around the stage commanded all eyes on him. He ran through
some of his most recent records of his Young OG project and even took it
all the way back to some of his hits off his platinum selling albums
such as Street Dreams. Fabolous pulled Lil Mo on stage to perform “Can’t
Let You Go” and the crowd went crazy. It was the perfect way to end a
wonderful night of reFRESHed hip hop culture presented by Coors Light.
