CAN YALL HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE DMV AWARDS?

Recently I was asked to be a part of some type of DMV awards, events and/or online awards. And I always decline for many reasons.

First and foremost I know the DMV is making huge strides musically and the DMV is in heavy effect but we still have so so far to go. Most DMV artist have the internet on smash...........yeah but thats mainly DMV blogs and websites. Most DMV aren't on Nahright or other creditable sites yet. We as a whole aren't getting much press in major publications, record deals, videos on mtv etc....

So.........give awards for what?

Not sayin that these are the only criterias for winning awards but giving awards for performing at open mics.......and what else?

Please help me with this one!

Most DMV artist songs aren't widely known by their DMV peers or the general DMV public. (fact)

Second, The system these dmv awards use to nominate and/or give awards is jive fluke in my opinion. Email voting/nominations.....hell I could tell thousands of people by pressing send on my computer to vote or niminate me and if I win its mainly because I had people vote because they mess with me personally and because I asked them to vote on my behalf.

By doing that does that really justify me getting an award or being nominated for an award. No it just means I know a lot of people.

Third, do we really need to create more anomosity and hate in a city that is filled with it already? Because no matter who gets a award there is always a artist out there that thinks they deserved it. I don't blame them for thinking that.........when we have 20 artist with deals, vids on MTV, some major pub, some consistant radio spins and a presence on national sites then. I FEEL an awards is cool because then you have some tangiable justification as to why a artist get an award or should be nominated. (In My Opinion).

Fourth, Then once we have that we need to have a panel of people that are seriouslly in tune with the dmv music scene to vote/meet etc..... on who should get awards and not a "free for all" or "marketing vote for me email campaign".

I do appreciate people taking the time out to organize this tho etc.....

I'm addressing this because I was aked to be involved in the awards and I was also asked "why I'm not campaigning for the DMV awards because other producers are" and personally when you think about it..... name one DMV producer that has done what I've done musically, business wise, nationally and has helped DMV artist in 2008 alone etc........... But does that mean I should get an award? NOOOOOOOOOOO but then when someone else wins people would email and call me and say "Judah why you aint nominated or win".

And I say maybe because I'm wack, or maybe I just didn't ask for votes......I DON'T KNOW!

I KNOW I LOVE PLAYING DEVILS ADVOCATE BUT....HEY JUST TRYING TO SPARK SOME DIALOG........

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH WHY WE ARE GIVING DMV AWARDS?

I wrote this from my blackberry some please excuse and typos etc.....

well i think its good....i mean when you are voting ....the persons involved can get they peers to vote true,......btu is that any diff than what goes on any other time?.......people tend to vote for who they "like" regardless"......for instance you got guys that will hate on one...because they dont know him/her.....and big up they freinds..i see it all the time....so i think all in all...its a START.

AND PROGRESS ALWAYS STARTS SOMEWHERE.......

I feel everything you stated. I have never been to the "DMV Awards" but I was told that a few people nominated me this year just to throw my name out, but half of the cats that do these open mics just do that open mics and mixtape tracks. We gotta focus on the material and not giving awards to people who are popular. It's also fucced up that the panel isn't even shown who watches the process? who verifies things? Where do people go to see or hear about the artist? just too many loose ends

Ill be back later Im at work and dont have time to write all I wish or need too. I just pray people can have a adult convo based on facts to back up their opinions and not just write some hateful comment cause they feel its biased or something when alot of artist grind just aint on the level it needs to be on in my opinion. But as I said Ill be back!

It's about time SOMEBODY has enough since to bring this up.DMV Awards...FOR WHAT!?!If that joint is to honor people that HAVE done things in the industry(writers producers artists ect.)then it makes since but all this way counts is who has the most time or desire to get on Myspace or where ever and BEG for votes.Usher never emailed me "please vote for me for a Grammy or American music award".50 never sent out bulletins begging people to vote for him. Then you got the people who DO win thinkin they done something thinkin they are better than the next man cuz he won an award. Wanna charge niggaz thousands of dollars for beat...nigga show me one major credit u got...now you even got artist who AINT DID SHIT but wanna charge the next man for a 16...That shit is SAD!!!I just wanna say to Judah thank you for being the voice of reason in a city full of FOOLS!DMV AWARDS...PLEASE STOP...Ya'll got these artist and promoters(I'm so fuckin SICK of that shiesty ass DREALLDAYINTHEPAINT!!!)celebratin like we done somethin BUT WE HAVE SOOO MUCH MORE TO DO!!! And this DRED the OL'Head....WHOEVER DONT like it act on it cuz i love to do it!!!!Peace to SE and all my niggas from VA to PG to Landova to Oxon Hill with straight up Boxin skills!!!!

It has it's pluses and minuses. On the positive side, I think it's a great way to meet with other artists, producers, etc. It just further builds the "domestic" DMV network.

On the negative, there are only a few artists that have had any type of commercial success and who's to say who is better? I'm sure alot of the winners and nominees will be a fluke, which will cause everyone to feel some type of way, but take it for what it is.

I don't watch a funny movie and expect violence and action, I watch it to laugh. You have to take the event for what it is, a good way to build the circle and further the success of the area.

YOU READ MY MIND! THE WINNERS WILL BE THE PEOPLE WITH THE MOST TIME ON THEIR HANDS TO VOTE FOR THEMSELVES....lol

Anonymous said...

yeah, the way the voting is set up doesn't really work best, but you're reading too much into it....it's just a fun thing to do I guess. there's a lot of artists in the dmv making quality music and this is acknowledging that. so what if a lot of these people don't have a nationwide following, they will soon and an event like this gives some sort of recognition for their effort

dwayne said...

I AGREE WITH EVERTING YOU ARE SAYING JUDAH. I DON'T THINK TOO MANY PEOPLE WILL. BUT IT IS SOME KIND OF START. ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY. I THINK IF WE CONTINUE SOMETHING LIKE THIS AND PEOPLE WITH GREAT IDEAS AND DIALOGUE SUCH AS YOURSELF WOULD GET MORE INVOLVED, THEN MAYBE WE CAN BE A AGENT FOR CHANGE. THAT DO NOT MEAN WE DIMINISH THE CURRENT SETUP JUST BECAUSE IT'S NOT WHERE IT SHOULD BE.

I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THE CURRENT SETUP IS NOT OPTIMAL, BUT IT SURE IS ALOT BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAD JUST A YEAR AGO...AND CERTAINLY ALOT BETTER THAN WE HAD JUST 3 YEARS AGO WHE WE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BRING US TOGETHER.

I DON'T LIKE THE CURRENT SETUP, BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS FOR NOW. FOR THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE IT, THEY SHOULD SPEAK UP AND MAKE THE PEOPLE INVOLVED KNOW SO THEY CAN IMPROVE FROM YEAR TO YEAR...I MEAN, DAMN, YOU THINK THE GRAMMY AWARD SHOW PROCESSWAS PERFECT WHEN IT FIRST STARTED? ITS NOT EVEN PERFECT NOW! LOL

WE'LL GET THERE J...MAYBE NOT A TIME FOR YOU AND ME...BUT FOR FUTURE MUSIC GENERATIONS WE NEED TO MAKE IT RIGHT (SOUNDING MLK-LIKE...LOL)

Anonymous said...

I totally agree with you on this one. There has to be more popular rappers and producers before you can actually start giving out awards. Besides WALE there is no other person (maybe Tabi) that regular people (school kids, employees, etc.) actually know of. If these artist are only popular with the open mic audience (Other local rappers), how does that deserve an award?

P.S.
By the way Judah...Rich Harrison is a pretty successful producer as well.

@ folkz yeah u shouldn't address it because yall win a lot a niggas scratch their heads like what the fuck. If you can seriously tell me what yall have done for the dmv outside of a rack of open mics that has shed light on the dmv. No diss at all.

@ the andari guy I feel u but awards at grammys have always been givin out by a respected industry professionals

@moe what have u done for the dmv musically or in anyway since u won?

It shouldn't be open vote and all that start from somewhere fuck that it shouldn't have been like that from day one because all they did was cast doubt on the awards from here on

Good start if nothing else, ninjas was hatin on the Go-go awards initially and they still do but they've grow annually and learned from their mistakes, same thing w/ the DMV awards...I think it has become the creed of this area (finally and thats good/bad) to support someone just cause... (and that is evident from alot of the songs posted and given props, alot of you artist are still WACK, phuc where you from and who you know)...okay back to the matter @ hand, yall bear with this because if they ironing out all the issues (esp. the voting we all gonna want one) as it stands our National reps for the area did not gain their respect from the undaground, however their success fueled the DMV undaground to its highest point since the "State of the Union" days...so with this centralized theme our next big artist from the DMV will have the utmost respect from most of the undaground and in Hip-hop thats always been the case city buzz before national buzz, even in the hating ass DMV...Yes the awards is some fake, phony and disorganized bullsheez, but Yes it is great also because just wait and see around year 7 or 8 when the nation looks to attend....regardless win, lose or draw all yall keep grindin, but dont lose sight of lyrics and reality.....hahahahhaha

Judah, you have no idea how much I agree with you.
I don't give a fuck who read this and want to catch feelings.

I remember the other DMV awards that was suppose to have had results of the winners since december or january. never heard a fucking peep since but everyday the damn site sending me email updates about shit I don't give a fuck about.

furtherore, the idea and concept is wack..I agree, I know I would've won just off the things you said.

but what does that prove? I ain't a club promoter..I don't stand outside LOVE, Ibiza and FUR so I don't have 4,000 facebook friends to vote for my website.

Niggas know who the best DC artists, producers, websites, clothing etc. is. These awards and hype is just for show for a false sense of unity and friendly competition when it's mostly one big jerk circle and/or popularity contest.

niggas piggybackin and bandwagonin the DMV movement. It's a damn shame and it's disgusting.

Hence me not even acknowledging no DMV Grammys or w/e the fuck its called on my site.

Like I said, I don't care who stamped it, who endorsing or sponsoring this nonsense. don't like what I said, don't visit my site. BLACKBALL me.

But I won't participate or acknowledge extorting this genuine DMV movement that people like Judah and Strange Music believe in.

that's my time.

look out for RatheMC's "Are You Not Entertained" Feb 24th.

Lyriciss "The Day Job" drops friday.

U jai hit da nail on da head wit dis 1 Judah. Da nomination process they have now is only good 4 da awards 2 grow towards a DMV based people's choice sort of thing. In my opinion if it continues like dis it's bound 2 create more animosity in a city already filled wit it & give off an even worse representation of our music scene towards outsiders...but hey who am I...wtf do I know? Regardless of favortism & or lack of orginization it's still something really positive 4 da city's music scene & definitely worth having every year. Keep in mind it's only in it's 3rd year. If it continues 2 progress it'll only get better wit time but they need 2 take into account a whole lot more shit business wise 1st.

Judah, Man People have been asking me why I ain't campainin' and all that and i told them the exact same thing this blog said. It's not about actual talent, its just about who will tell the most people to vote for them. It's all cons, the only Pros is probably the fellowshipping that DMV artist get to do at the awards. It's a cool idea and all but it wasn't really planned and thought out the best. Plus the DMV isn't really ready 4 it yet.

Yeah, and attitudes like that are actually supposed to help add significance to something that's way, way before its appropriate and logical time? Because you criticize like this about something like this, all of a sudden we gotta care about something no one of significance cares about yet.

Please, spare me.

Just like Mr. WhiteFolkz posts tha shit outta his bulletins 2 get votes, U should learn from it and grind harder!!!!!! Especially if U see that it is working!!!!!! Why are U mad!!!!!! These people are making moves to bring the DMV closer like it or not!!!!!!! I don't see any other type of wide-spread hip-hop function's in or for the DMV done!!!!!! So until it is I'ma just grind harder and do what I need to do to win next time!!!!!! Mr. WhiteFolkz!!!! Keep on Grinding I Commend U!!!!!!!!! I support anything bringing up the DMV and bringing talented local artist 2gether and that's what it does!!!!!!!

Dre said it best. When BM do a show its a whole different DMV that come out. Like when Tabi do something its a whole different DMV. The same for Topp Dog and so on. BM created the DMV awards for the the underground artists in his realm. Its open to everybody. If you got a issue then u should start your own awards but guess what, you are too late. If you cant beat em join em. Lol. Think about this though, all these dudes yall kiss ass for in the DMV dont give you nothing, no awards, no money, nothing. Yall still hold them up high. BM is giving u a chance to shine and yall knock it. Thats crazy.

Okay how about this, since people like to use analogies and comparisons of hip hop to the dope game. Do you think a drug strip that doesn't make any money OR isn't known OR made any SIGNIFICANT mark in the drug trade should have there own award show AND if they did what would they call it THE WACK STRIP AWARDS?!?Understand this, just because a person doesn't like what I DO...DOES NOT MAKE THEM A HATER!!!It just means they dont like something I do. They have the Grammy's the BET Billboard American Music and all these award shows, some based off performance some based off popularity. I say to you ARTIST OF THE DMV...STRIVE FOR THAT!!!Who wants to be the best of a bunch of unknowns. Also can ANYONE tell me the MVP of the NBA DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE...I rest my case.

WELL MAY TAKE ON THIS IS THAT I DO THINK IT IS A GOOD MORAL BOOSTER FOR OUR AREA BUT THE REAL INSIGHT IS FOR THOSE WHO ARE ORGANIZING IT AND SPONSORING IT ARE TRYING TO GAIN THERE OWN EXPOSURE THEY HAVE ARTIST THAT NEED MORE PROMO AND EVEN THOUGH IT WILL BRING A LITTLE BIT MORE ATTENTION TO OUR AREA THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IT TO BRING ALOT MORE ATTENTION TO THERE PERSONAL BUSINESS..SEE I WAS AT THE FIRST AND THE SECOND ONE I WAS ACTUALLY NOMINATED FOR AN AWARD BUT DID NOT WIN AND KNEW I WAS NOT GONNA WIN BECAUSE OF OTHERS I WAS UP AGAINST BUT IT MADE ME FEEL GOOD TO BE NOTICED..I ALWAYS FELT THAT THE AWARDS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE ABOUT US AND THIS TIME AROUND I REALLY WANTED FOLKS WHO ACTUALLY DESERVE TO WIN GET ONE SUCH AS YOU JUDAH,WALE,TABI,DON JUAN AND A LIST OF OTHER ACTS IM NOT HIP TOO BUT LAST YEAR ALOT OF OPEN MIC ARTIST WON AND THE YEAR BEFORE THAT ALOT OF INNER CIRCLE ONES WON ALSO..I VOTED THIS YEAR ONLY ONCE I DID NOT CAMPAIGN TO GET VOTE EITHER...SO IN CLOSING I THINK IT IS A GOOD LOOK FOR US BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY I QUESTION WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN TO THE INDUSTRY AND I WILL NEVER KNOW THAT ANSWER UNTIL IM SITTING IN FRONT OF A MAJOR LABEL OR MAKING MAJOR MOVES IN THIS BUSINESS...

For the dude who said they have a friend in BMore who raps and wanted to know if the BMore is included in the DMV, I say yes.

We need to stop having that attitude about the DMV only meaning 703, 202, and 301. Since when? What harm does it do to just say all of DC, Maryland and Virginia?

Yeah, all areas are a little different, so what, they're all within what, two hours of each other total and as far as the music is concerned, we're all in the same damn boat with all three places being ignored or going unrecognized as far as hip hop is concerned.

If you listen to Wale's song "Back In the Gogo" with Pusha T, Pusha T shouts out the DMV and shouts it over his new mixtape. If dudes from the 757 who have actually made it can embrace all areas of the DMV, why the hell can't we?

On to the DMV awards, don't get them either. I think its premature and entirely too presumptuous.

IDK much (or anything, rather) about the DMV Awards, but... Perhaps its just another GREAT idea, w/BAD planning (nomination & selection process), promotion (ie, media coverage), execution (the success of the actual event), etc.?

I think its a great idea to showcase local talent. I mean hell, you gotta start somewhere -- so why not in your hometown? I compare it to a kid playing little league/Pop Warner sports & ending up in the NFL.

You never know... What can start out as a "local thing", may very well become an "international thing". Its all about planning, promoting & execution. You see the success of Missy & Jay-Z using DC's Go-Go beats in their songs. These same songs were heard where: Worldwide. They thought outside the box & it worked. IDK if they gave those Go-Go bands their proper credit & all, but that's another story for another time...

Just my thinking... *shrug*

Don't get it twisted and mixed up with other award fasads. The 3rd Annual DMV Entertainment and Music Awards(TM) is a legitamate independent music award show that cater to independent urban artistry.

Again, don't get the DMV EMAs(TM) mixed up with bloggers or online hippies, trying to pass out pseudo awards.

Make sure you log on to www.dmvemas.com and learn the TRUTH.

Speculation and assumption are for the uninteligent. Learn about what you speak of, BEFORE YOU SPEAK.

In fact, you are invited to the 3rd Annual DMV Entertainment and Music Awards, Sunday, MARCH 29th, 2009. "Gold Carpet" begins at 5 pm and show starts promptly at 7PM.

I just wanna make one more comment about this DMV awards. I have never been to one and I am not planning on attending this year but if this DMV movement is going to work the artist need to stay more humble and grounded. Here you have a well established producer like Judah giving an honest opinion about the award show.We dont have to go over his credentials or what he has done. If HE thinks that this awards show is questionable at best WE ARTIST should respect this mans opinion.Maybe you don't know ME or respect ME but you know HIM. Don't make me go into my whole thing about the younger generation but that's ya'll problem...U dont wanna listen to people who know better or have more experience than you and be trying to school yo young asses but...We were young once too and WE didnt listen either...I guess it's like they say It is what it is.

Why don't we do it in a manner where our concerns can be addressed and advocated before the next event... they are 11 plus months apart normally?

Really what are the concerns? Most people on here just tearing down other artists and criticizing the platform! Is that helping? Is that what DC, MD, VA artists are about??? This music business is a growing/learning process!

It's bad enough that we don't stick together as a people but even worse that we don't stick together as a nation of artists and musicians!

What do we have in this city??? Big question... My response would be a WHOLE Bunch of nuttin! Jibberish!

The only way to find a common median is to get involved!

REGARDLESS if the joint seems real or not! or the artists seem real or not... blah, blah, blah... What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Nuttin!

Why can't we focus more on using this platform as an opportunity to network, meet new artists, meet industry folks, celebrate with friends and peers!

I spoke out last year on how I felt about the process of the entire show, How I felt about how they picked the winners etc. Guess what! None of those things were ever addressed yet, other issues surfaced that to me were unrelated yet took the focus off the questions at hand!

Bottom line is... the people we have running the show now... are probably gonna be the same people running it 5-10 years from now... WHY???? Cause folks to self centered and judgmental to get involved and make changes and make it so it is fair etc.

While everyone will never fully be satisfied with every aspect of the things that are done in the namesake of the "DMV ARTISTRY", Change can happen but it starts with constructive ideas and intuition to discern what is and or seems real or not!

1. I learned last year... that their awards can't validate any artists!

2. Delight and get involved with the EMA's because you are an artist and you want to celebrate a years worth of hard work and dedication!

3.Use the EMA's as a way to include your peers and fans and what you've been doing by bringing them to the show! Not because you are nominated or not or if you will win or not...

4.truth of the matter is there are just too many artists to every cover the scope of talent in this area!

5.It's up to us to put our own names and brands out there! The people running this show could care less about that!

6. But if you've never been...then how can you honestly talk about it?!

All the hate on this joint is the prime example of why DMV is what it is. City of Crabs..

I ain't big on this whole blog shit, cuz it gives too many muhfuckas platforms to say absolutely nothing but hatin on other niggaz. Stop worryin bout what the next nigga doin and book up your own calendar my dudes.

Judah waddup. Everything u said is right, but everybody gotta crawl before they walk. Iont think niggaz is looking at the award, but just the hype and the recognition that goes with it. As a fellow producer myself, I couldn't jump out there and get niggaz to vote for me, cuz I know I ain't put in the half the work Judah been doin (in the DMV anyway). You deserve the shit off GP. But u should still go and support it because they supporting you! I went to the Dirty awards in ATL last year, which is pretty much the down south version of the DMV EMA's, and all niggaz did was show love all nite. a lotta niggaz there ain't known outside they're city, but niggaz still came together to network, grind, get some hoes, whateva..I know we still got a ways to go, but I don't think the DMV's would hurt us either. WHat's gonna hurt is the shit that's going on on this blog right now. Hatin..

I love my city but I hate my city

Look Judah brought up the topic and everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just dont understand how I'm hatin tho. These mufuckas wanna act like me not thinking the DMV awards is necessary is the reason we(DMV) cant get on as a city...ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!!!Everybody not gonna like what you like or agree with what you think THAT DONT MEAN THEY HATING!!!Listen I dont like Lil Wayne but he tight tho. The meaning of the word AWARD itself makes me question the event. Its a popularity contest at best.If MC A has 250 friends on his myspace and MC B has 2500 MC B WILL WIN!!!Simple as that. All i wanna know is how come YALL aint haters for having an opinion. Is Judah a hater too or just Dred the Ol'Head. The recording industry=NBA the big leagues. The DMV=The developmental league. Now WE DO atleast acknowledge that we are STILL currently trying to get into the big league right. So if thats true and your trying to make the big leagues you dont even WANT no AWARD for leading the D Leagues IN SHIT! and furthermore...What meaning does it have to Lebron or Kobe or even the 12th man on the Wizards?!?!?NOT A GOTDAMN THANG CUZ THEY IN THE LEAGUE! All you young up and coming rappers dont let your popularity make you into a complete IDIOT. Better yet TAKE YO DMV AWARD up NY or LA and see how many doors it opens.I'm trying to go beyond the DMV and IF I KNOW that the rest of the INDUSRTY dont consider us valid...Then how can an award show FOR US be valid. To any industry person thats not from the DMV they prolly thinkin...Wow they finally gave up, since we(the industry)wont acknowledge or award them THEY MADE THERE OWN AWARDS?!? Anybody can do that...In fact FUCK WHAT YA'LL THINK IMA START MY OWN AWARD LIKE YA'LL DID CUZ I THINK IM THE BEST AND IF YA'LL DONT AGREE...YA'LL JUST HATIN!!!Now dont get me wrong IF YA'LL wanna be like fuck the industry WE not trying to GET on or no Record deal or We dont care what people outside the DMV think then it makes sense.Thats what ya'll man Dre ALLDay and Weaze was saying at the conference up the Legend right. We dont need these outta town as niggaz comin thru and ALL THAT BULLSHIT...but the next week or so it's...WHO WANNA PAY ME TO OPEN FOR LIL BOOSIE OR SHORTLY LO on the bulletins...but im a hater? Nah i just deal in reality Rick Ross was a CO but he can rap.Lil Wayne DID kiss BABY but, he can rap.Kanye do got a fuckin SHAG and no one cares! I aint hatin its true. Now do ya'll wanna be REAL or TRILL...You wanna have SUCCESS or SWAGGA.If I came out as Wayne Perry or Rayful Edmunds niggaz would cry foul...He aint Wayne Perry thats not Ray...they'd be coming for my head...But a nigga outside the DMV take anotha nigga name...Ya'll coming with the bread...that my friend is the reason the DMV AINT on Too much SWAGGA and Dougie and tight ass jeans wearin mufuckas supporting Gucci Mayne ignorant ass and Officer Ricky or 50 cent fake harmonizin better than Jodeci but talkin bout Jah rule ass. Thats why I Rep DC not the DMV when im outta town cuz niggaz be fuckin dick ridin ass tryna talk walk and dress like otha nigga(dipset YA DIG)ass clowns. And that my friends is THE REALEST SHIT I EVER WROTE!!

Ol'Head!!!!

Look the Industry=NBA the big leagues. The DMV=the developemental league. If ya'll wanna celebrate leading the D-leagues ya'll can.I wanna make the NBA, fucka D-league!I'm not disrespecting anyone or HATING! Im speakining the truth. The reason the DMV as a whole is not on is because there is NO support. Not from radio(who wont play unless you pay)from local promoters(who CHARGE you to open for national acts)from local club owner's)who dont even wanna play GO-GO(unless you from somewhere else other than DC like Jill Scott or Puffy then its cool)so you KNOW they AINT supportin local artist. Not Dred the Ol'Head or Judah or anyone else who questions the validity of the nominations, voting process and the AWARDS as a whole.DMV has NO IDENTITY...a bunch a folks who wanna walk like talk like and be like EVERYONE ELSE!!!Back in the dayz and i aint talkin that long ago DC always tried to be different...We aint use NY slang(son, yadig!!)We aint have no LA gangs(SOOWOO!!)in LANDOVA!!!We aint wear what rappers or R&B singers wore(tight jeans, designer scarfs, and colorful metrosexual ass shoes and THEN scream NO HOMO...YES HOMO!!!) Thats why I CANT REPRESENT the DMV cuz its too much clown shit involved. I was hollerin at my folks from round THE NUT and they said the same thing "man that DMV shit is only for when im in the DMV when im outta town I represent SE DC because its too much BAMA SHIT involved in this DMV shit!!!" And im willing to BET his group prolly nominated for an AWARD! So dont hate the non tight jeans and Kanye west shag havin ass nigga..Dont hate the REAL one Hate the TRILL one...And congratulations to the winners of the DMV AWARDS even though the shit seems like a High School year book joint...Most Popular...Most Likely to succeed...Whats next Cutest couple?!?!?WTF

OL'HEAD
GET ME...DONT SHIT ME!!!
