DC hip-hop artist Lightshow is having a great 2018, even though
we're only three weeks into the year. You may have seen his name as one
of the performers announced yesterday for the 2018 Broccoli City
Festival. Lightshow also sold out his second show within 5 months
at The Fillmore Silver Spring, and traded some bars with Rick Ross at
that same venue just days before. Did I mention that he's doing all of
this while still being unsigned?! Amazing!
DJ Heat had the pleasure of interviewing Lightshow this week, and the topic of
signing to a major came up. He also touched on how the gentrification in
D.C. inspired his latest album, Kalorama Heights, and broke down
how his mother has played a big part in his career. Hope you get a
chance to check out the interview and learn some new things about the
bright young artist!
