One year. It's been a whole year since I've dropped any new visuals for y'all (not including "The Constant" with PHZ-Sicks and "Excel" with Osiris Green,
of course - those were collabs). My apologies, but life has been real,
to say the least. The good part is, for the latter half of 2015, the
statement "life has been real" can be followed by the word "positive".
Things are on the up-and-up. Money is being made. Music is being
written. Inspiration is being found. The family is getting healthier and
stronger. With that being the case...I'm slowly but surely making my
way back to what I do best.
Earlier this year, I dropped a verse over Terrace Martin's instrumental version of Kendrick Lamar's "Ignorance Is Bliss", entitled "The Soul".
At the time of writing it and recording it, I was still battling many
demons I've since conquered, using the beat as my avenue to speak on
personal turmoil I would've never had the courage to rap about a few
years ago. With time comes growth, though. Enjoy the new video, directed
by none other than the homie Matt Sugawara, and look out for more visuals coming soon. New project, Good Luck Road (formerly titled The Reflection)
coming in 2016. For those of you that kept checking in and supporting
while I went through my hardships, I appreciate y'all more than words
can express. Feels good to be back...
