My issue is the lack of help within the DMV area. Everywhere I turn I
ask people for advice help and all and people are so stingy with
knowledge. Only a few have helped me like Judah and my man that works at
the radio station but if I'm not with you crew or clique I cant get no
love regardless of how talented I am. Another issue I have problems with
are the lack of shows for newer artist. The same people doing the same
shows but when I try to inquire about a show I get carried. I feel some
of those artist are on the same level as me so why should I not be able
to perform with XO, kingpin slim and the rest of them. I like they music
but they on my level which is unsigned and still here. Thanks for the
vent outlet.

In this game nobody owes you anything. If you have found anybody to advise you should be extremely happy and thankful.
Also, some of the names you mentioned like XO and Kingpin Slim have put in a lot of work. They have struggled, taken shots (both verbally and literally, LOL), and sacrificed financially to get where they are.
There aren't any short cuts. Like everyone else said - if you keep grinding, eventually your hard work will pay off.
Man I agree wit the rest of yall that homeboi should put in his work but what niggas fail to realize is that 98% of DC artist need to put in they work, including the Kingpen Slim's and XO's of the city. Them niggas dont have deals nor are they SELLING albums. And truth be told these dudes are relatively unknown outside of the "DMV rap circle"

1. studio time? FOR FREE? It's a business homey...
2. beats? if the producer is not in your camp, then how is he gonna help you out, again, it's a business...!
3. advice? thats the one area that more people should be helping with but the reality is that 90% of the cats in the scene have no idea what they're supposed to be doing...
4. shows? it don't really work like that. if you want shows you should book em yourself. if not, go to open mics until everyone realized how dope you are.
5. promotion? put out quality product and it will get out there...
