Ardamus & C Royal - "The Glass Is Half Full Of"

http://ardamus.bandcamp.com/album/the-glass-is-half-full-of

Originally, C Royal was offering spots on his "Royal Tavern's" album
for emcees to be a part of on the Justus League (9th Wonder, Little
Brother, etc.) message board. Ardamus contacted C Royal and they
completed 4 cuts on the project alongside Mallz, Chaundon, Society Of
Gentlemen, and other counterparts on the album. Ardamus, in the
meantime, was involved with his projects with his crew FAR EXP and
other solo projects that he was completing. C Royal contacted Ardamus
for an idea for a project and Ardamus agreed without hesitation.

The Album/Singles.
After back and forth emails and phone calls to establish a constant
theme for the album, "The Glass Is Half Full Of" seem to fit because
of the contrast of the hard and smooth production of C Royal and the
content of what Ardamus was delivering. In addition, Ardamus informed
his peers of C Royal's production and he got the nod from the crews
and affiliations Ardamus has in Washington, DC. In addition, Cee H.
Blak aka Blak Lungz who used to be in the Food Chain Collective
contacted him because of the development for Shotgun Daisy Records.
Just recently, the label had dropped an EP that was featuring his work
with Joe Beats (the producer of Non-Prophets with Sage Francis and
other great instrumental works). After a video was completed for one
of the first songs entitled "Indeed Loyalty", Blak was sent the video
and this lead to a three-single deal for the duo to have digital
distribution through various outlets.

Special thanks and notations. The most high of course. To all the
artists who were selected in the process of this album: my FAR EXP
members (Flex Mathews, Fleetwood DeVille, RNL), Charlie Bucket,
Deborah Bond, Chaquis Maliq, and Enoch 7th Prophet. Toney Smith for
the additional recording at Vintage Vibez Studio. A very big thanks to
Lauren from Snarky Studios and the homie, Terry, for both putting
together the visuals. And a very big shootout goes to Blak Lungz for
hooking up the three single deal with Shotgun Daisy Records.

[RECAP] AT&T 28 Days ft. @Common and @Marioarmstrong

On February 15th, 2012 I had the honor of attending the AT&T 28 Days Speaker Series and it was absolutely amazing. The series was hosted by Common and the guest speaker was Baltimore's own Mario Armstrong. The event was centered around achieving some of your entrepreneurial dreams while integrating today's technology.

Mario Armstrong captivated the crowd as he went thru 5 steps that he personally incorporated into his life to help him quit is 9-5 and chase after his entrepreneurial dreams. Mario and the people at AT&T gave a participant a brand new Hewitt Packard laptop so she could begin here journey into starting her non profit organization centered around helping at risk youth in the Anacostia area.

Not only did Mario Armstrong provide the audience with some great jewels, Common ended the event by performing some of the songs off his new album "The Dreamer, The Believer".

Above are a few pictures from that night. Below is a brief summary of the event from AT&T and it also provides a website so you can hopefully catch this event in a city near you.

Highlife - Hate is My Motivator (Official Video)

BIO: Anthony "Highlife" Greene is a twenty-year old artist based in Baltimore City,Maryland. At the age of eighteen Highlife started to show an interest in music and freestyling. It wasn't until the end of his senior year of high school that he took that interest and turned it into a major job in which he treated like a job.
At the beginning of the 2011 summer, Highlife was still just another teen making music with no one to direct him in the right path. After a big run in with the Baltimore City police system, he was introduced to recently signed Baltimore artist "King Midas". King Midas saw potential in Highlife's music and quickly added him to his music group "Left Brain Production" (LBP) and helped him begin his first project he named "Above Average" which is available now to be downloaded online. When asked What motivates him, Highlife replies "If they can make it out the hood and make millions, I can too." Expect nothing less than above average when it comes to Highlife and his music being that he works so hard With his three teams strongly behind him LBP,HABAGACHI, & HLVN.
