Sir E.U "Hippopotamus"

Eighteen year old DMV MC Sir E.U (@SirEUthegr8) releases his first full length album, the follow up to FXCK, "Hippopotamus," through DMV indie label The CarryOut Productions (www.TheCarryOut.net). "Hippopotamus" combines raw lyricism with real life tales of adolescence and youthful angst. The beats fuse old school breaks and boom bap drums with slowed down jazz and soul samples. Over the last year Sir E.U and his Kool Klux comrades have shared the stage with artists such as 9th Wonder, Tanya Morgan, Thee Tom Hardy, Rhapsody, Nickelus F, Fresh Daily, Phil Ade & more.

Underwater Seacreatures is the stage name of singer-songwriters Nathan Keeys, Marcos Eduardo Da Silva Garcia & bassist Ryan Beans. Soon after arriving in Richmond midway thru 2009, and disenchanted with the dime a dozen nature of their hip hop background, Marcos & Nathan began experimenting with bedroom recordings that later were identified with the Chillwave/Glo-fi movement by influential music bloggers such as FREEWilliamsburg, Don't Die Wondering, The Hype Machine, Strange Fires, Whatuptokyo, JellyNYCRockyard, Pasta Primavera, as well as many college radio stations, despite never having been formally released anywhere except MySpace. That EP will now be available through bandcamp for the first time, in preparation for a full length album coming out in the coming soon that is sure to set the blogosphere ablaze once again.

Santa Clause won’t be the only unk giving out gifts this Christmas! Fresh off the release of his recent mixtape, #bongski, Dugee F. Buller is back, giving us plenty of holiday cheer or jeer to last through to the New Year. Scheduled for Dec. 24, “on the night before Christmas,” Dugee will drop his underground album ‘bong! thee album.’ This “stocking stuffer” is a collection of Dugee’s most opinionated work to date, so if you love his music, get ready to have a nearly all-in-one package. Behind the production boards are two familiar “beatsmiths” of Buller’s sound, Lil boy fresh and Treez. They help craft an album that sheds more light on Dugee to his listeners, and what goes on in his unique mind. Bong!

SupaTim Presents....Heat the Streets Mixtape Series
Whats Good!! This is UrHero~SupaTim here giving our DMV artists more FREE exposure. Iam dropping a mixtape series called "Heat the Streets" that will drop new mixtapes every week starting tomorow and going through March 20th.
Artist are now submitting music and the best music will get on and the mixtape will be available for download on www.DaCipherDMV.com. It will consist of many known and unknown DMV rapers for will consist of quality hip hop.
I am looking for the DMV to help us get even more exposure. I am looking to promote the mixtape series outside of my website. I would like to set up interviews for myself as well as the artists. I would like to submit some of the music to post on other websites and submit music to DJs for them to play and use.
I am also willing to help cross promote what ever it is you are doing on my website, my radio show, on promotional material, at events I attend, and to the artists Im working with. Feel free to contact me asap at 240-351-2992 if you want to work together
In April the artist whose mixtape gets the most first week downloads will perform on a showcase. Music also will be featured on DaCipherRadio and artists will have an opportunity to get a video interview and the best artist of the week will get a featured performance at one of the DMVs top open mic/showcase.

New Antadote Video "Mask-or-Raid"
"Antadote" is the collaboration of DMV solo artists Luegar, Ace LaBella, and Mic Lungz (Rugged Soulz); the first single "Mask-or-Raid" off their soon to be released self titled EP slated to drop in spring of 2012 features lyrical heavyweights Tony Night, Konshens, and BuBu. The visual shot in Washington DC on Halloween night was put together by noted Cool Kids Forever Directors KV and Dee Dee Johnson.

Join us Sunday, December 18th as we host our fifth annual Kicks For Kids Charity Shoe Drive event! The Kicks for Kids shoe drive program is a collaborative community effort to help support children less fortunate or in need in the DC Metropolitan area by way of sneakers! There are plenty of holiday coat drives, toy drives and can food drives that brings positive holiday cheer, but very rarely do you see an initiative that focuses on our feet. Last year, your raised donations purchased over 400 pairs of new kids sneakers that were later donated to the Children's National Medical Center (200 pairs), So Others Might Eat (S.O.M.E.) Organization (100 pairs) & R&B Star Mya's Art & Tech Foundation (100 pairs). This year, we are partnering with the Children's National Medical Center again with plans to provide for youth spending their Christmas holiday in the hospital. In addition, we will donate sneakers to the National Children's Center, with facilities in SE, DC & NE, DC, whose mission is to provide a lifetime of opportunities for people in our community with developmental disabilities to live full, meaningful and productive lives.--------------------------------------

Well, more recently, now it turns out that a fan from London ended up hitting DJ Premier on Twitter about my most recent EP, The Balance: Respect, and Preemo actually checked it out and loved it. The week after this happens, sure enough, DJ Premier ends up playing "The Balance" during his show on SiriusXM's Hip-Hop Nation, "Live From HeadQCourterz" (12/2/2011). Needless to say, DJ Premier went IN (pause? I don't know, I don't say "pause", I'm grown...lol) on the scratches and bringing the record back.
